Speakers Bureau
Educating the public about our services is an essential ingredient to our success in providing comfort, encouragement and resources to people coping with a life-limiting illness.
Delaware Hospice seeks opportunities to dialogue with the community. We share relevant information regarding end-of-life care and the benefits of hospice services, and we listen to questions and concerns, so we can respond appropriately.
Community educators travel throughout the state to make presentations, participate on panels, organize events, conduct seminars or meet with groups and individuals. Speakers are available to cover a variety of topics, and also, will create presentations to meet your group’s specific needs.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Delaware Hospice: An overview of our services
- Living Well: Living with a chronic illness
- Advanced Directives: Planning for your medical preferences
- Grief and Loss: The journey through healing
- New Hope: The special needs of bereaving children
- Transitions: Support for the seriously ill
- Veterans Hospice Benefits: Navigating your options
- Delaware Hospice Center: A new option of care
