Delaware Hospice received a $2,500 charitable contribution from Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation in support of its “Community Campaign to Expand Delaware Hospice.” This capital campaign was established to fund the construction of the Delaware Hospice Center, which will provide a new option of hospice care in Delaware.
“Delaware Hospice has given so much to the community,” said Nicholas Gilbert, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Trainee. “With its 25 years experience, its reputation for high quality care, and its mission of meeting community needs, we felt Delaware Hospice met our criteria for support through the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation.”
Susan Lloyd, President and C.E.O. of Delaware Hospice, expressed her appreciation, “This is a wonderful expression of confidence in Delaware Hospice and what we are striving to accomplish for our communities. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation’s record of charitable giving is remarkable, and we’re honored to receive this contribution to our Community Campaign. We are very grateful as well on behalf of the families who will be the ultimate beneficiaries of Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation’s generosity.
The Delaware Hospice Center will become a home-away-from-home for patients in need of such an alternative. Professional care will be available 24 hours a day, giving caregivers needed support and quality time with their loved ones. They will find privacy, comfort, and comprehensive services in the 16 family suites, with family, kitchen and dining areas as well as a children’s alcove and a central gathering place. The Center will also house a Community Resource Center, a Counseling Center, as well as home care and administrative offices.
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation provides charitable support to worthwhile non-profit initiatives that are actively supported by the company's employees, their spouses, and loyal Enterprise customers in the thousands of local communities where Enterprise operates its businesses. Since 1982, the foundation has contributed more than $87 million to thousands of registered non-profit efforts.
