Delaware Hospice received a $5,000 donation from the Dewey Beach
Lions Club, which was presented at the Volunteer Recognition Dinner in
Dewey Beach last week.
Delaware Hospice President and C.E.O., Susan D. Lloyd, accepted the check on behalf of the organization and thanked the Dewey Beach Lions Club representatives: “We are truly grateful and honored that your members have chosen Delaware Hospice as one of the charities worthy of their support this year as well as past years. I know how much effort goes into fundraising and I also know how much our patients and families appreciate our help which is made possible through donations such as yours.”
With a history of annual donations to Delaware Hospice, Dewey Beach Lion’s Club members chose to direct this year’s gift to the capital campaign for the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
“We’re pleased to be able to join others in our communities to support this worthwhile project,” said Denis Miller, Co-Treasurer of the Dewey Beach Lion’s Club. “The Delaware Hospice Center will fill a tremendous void in healthcare options in Delaware and we are confident that the leadership of Delaware Hospice will meet this need with its tradition of quality care and true compassion.”
