Excellence in Construction Awards event.
Nickle Electrical Companies received the highest honor for its outstanding work in planning and building the electrical system for the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford at the ABC Delaware’s “2008 Excellence in Construction Awards” banquet.
Seven hundred industry representatives were present for the awards event where Nickle Electrical Companies was presented with the “Excellence Award” for the “Under $2 Million” construction category.
Nickle Electrical’s representative Debbie Dignan said, “The challenge of the Center’s construction project was to build a commercial medical facility, while maintaining a comfortable home-like atmosphere. This required an extraordinary attention to detail, as well as the strict adherence to health and safety codes.”
Delaware Hospice’s President and CEO, Susan Lloyd, congratulated the Nickle team: “The pride in workmanship that you and every member of your team exhibited on our project is quite evident in the finished project. The detailed work, especially in the patient care and family areas, shows that your employees truly understood the feel and atmosphere that we at Delaware Hospice wanted for our Center.”
Lloyd added, “Please know that your tireless efforts in making our dream of the Delaware Hospice Center a reality will impact the lives of numerous patients and families in our community for many years to come.”
The Delaware Hospice Center opened in April 2008 in Milford and offers a new option of care for patients who are hospice appropriate and suffering from any life-limiting disease, such as heart, lung, or kidney failure, Alzheimers or Parkinson’s disease. The Center is an option for all patients who require this level of specialized care and is not limited to Delaware Hospice patients. The Center offers 24 hour hospice care in a beautiful, home-like setting, when the choice of at-home or in-hospital care isn’t appropriate. Sixteen patient/family suites, formal living rooms, country kitchens, family rooms, and a reflection room provide comfort and space.
