Qualifications/Duties:The preceptor is an individual who serves as educator, role model, and coach for a prescribed period of time. The preceptor participates in all phases and activities of the new hire’s orientation program, including patient care visits. While the Clinical Staff Preceptor will work primarily with nurse orientees/ staff, assistance with the orientation/ education of all other disciplines is expected. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Delaware. Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Certification in hospice nursing preferred. Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or home care. Computer proficient in Suncoast and Word processing. Positions will be supporting clinical staff statewide, and will be placed one North and one South.
