Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth and Delaware Hospice present Advanced Healthcare Planning Event on April 14th in Rehoboth.
Brandywine Assisted Living and Delaware Hospice will partner to present important information on advanced healthcare planning in recognition of National Healthcare Decisions Day on Tuesday, April 13th, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.., at Brandywine Assisted Living, 36101 Seaside Blvd., Rehoboth Beach.
The March 31st five-year anniversary of Terri Schiavo’s death serves to focus national attention once more on the importance of talking about healthcare decisions before a crisis.
An Advance Directive enables individuals to make legally valid decisions regarding future medical treatment, in the event that they are unable to speak for themselves, and ensures that those wishes are carried out in the manner they have chosen. This document records your medical care preferences for your physician, loved ones, and clergy, and relieves the decision-making burden from your family members.
Representatives of Delaware Hospice and Brandywine Assisted Living will be available to help attendees fill out an Advance Directive form.
