Delaware Hospice chosen as a "Top Workplace in 2011"
Delaware Hospice placed 8th in the 2011 Top Workplace Survey performed by Workplace Dynamics and the News Journal. Each year, Workplace Dynamics LLC and the News Journal seek nominations for the best workplaces. Results are tabulated and scored by Workplace Dynamics and the top finishers are listed at delawareonline.com.
Survey questions focused on key areas such as conditions in the workplace, career opportunities, management, and pay and benefits.
When employees were asked what they like most about their job, Delaware Hospice staff demonstrated appreciation for the meaningfulness of their work, the people they work with, as well as for their managers. Comments included: “My job has purpose and allows me to help those in need have a better quality of life. I love my job.” “The people that I work with, the quality of care that we provide, great benefits, and my manager.” “It's a family-oriented employer who really cares about you and your future in the company.”
Delaware Hospice’s President and CEO, Susan Lloyd, MSN, RN, expressed her gratitude to staff, saying, “You are the face of quality care and compassion for patients and families with life-limiting illnesses. I am proud to be associated with each and every one of you and I look forward to continuing to live our mission, together, as a team.”
