Delaware Hospice holds a Memory Garden Workshop on Tuesday, June 9th in Milford.
Delaware Hospice’s Family Support Center will hold a special workshop on memory gardens on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m., at the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford.
The Planting a Memory Garden Workshop will be dedicated to helping participants create a space in their yards or patios to plant a garden which will memorialize a special person through the loving language of flowers and plants. Based on the book, A Garden of Love and Healing, by Marsha Olson, the workshop will be facilitated by Master Gardener, Brenda Brady, and Delaware Hospice’s Bereavement Counselor, Sally Packard, LCSW.
The Planting a Memory Garden Workshop is a free and open to the public as a community outreach program from Delaware Hospice’s Family Support Center.
Registration is required for pre-ordering materials, as attendees will be creating individual container gardens to take home.
