Delaware Hospice offers Living Well: A 6-week course on self management of chronic disease at Greenwood Cheer Center, from June 17th.
Anyone living with heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema and other chronic diseases will benefit from a six-week course on self management of chronic disease, which will be held at the Greenwood Cheer Center, 41 Schulze Rd., Greenwood, DE 19950.
Barbara Tucker, Community Ed Coordinator for Delaware Hospice, will conduct the course, entitled “Living Well,” which will meet on June 17th and every Wednesday until July 29th, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. All six classes are recommended.
This totally interactive class, created by Stanford University, will help participants learn how to deal with topics such as fatigue, depression, medications, problem solving, nutrition, and physical activity. You will learn how to make action plans, how to talk to your healthcare provider as well as how to better communicate with your own family members.
There is no fee for this course which is offered free of charge as a community outreach of Delaware Hospice.
