PRESS RELEASE: May 12, 2009 For Immediate Release
Delaware Hospice receives over $2,000 from Teller Wines’ “Sixth Annual Wine Expo and Benefit
Delaware Hospice received a check for $2,182 from Lesley Cowan, owner of Teller Wines, representing a portion of the proceeds from Teller Wines’ Sixth Annual Wine Expo and Benefit.
Lesley Cowan said, “Each year we like to give back to the community by supporting a local organization. Delaware Hospice has an excellent reputation for caring for its patients and families and it’s a privilege to be able to make this contribution.”
The donation will be directed to Delaware Hospice’s Capital Campaign to help fund the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
“We appreciate this wonderful expression of confidence in Delaware Hospice,” said Susan Lloyd, President and C.E.O. of Delaware Hospice. “Our organization was founded with the generosity of individuals and has grown to care for 30,000 patients and families thanks to a tradition of support such as this gift from Teller Wines.”
The Delaware Hospice Center is a home-away-from-home for patients in need of brief stays for symptom management. Specialized care is available 24 hours a day, giving caregivers needed support and quality time with their loved ones. At the Center, they find privacy, comfort, and comprehensive services in the 16 family suites, with family, kitchen and dining areas as well as a children’s playroom. The Center also houses the Family Support Center, which offers programs for caregivers and survivors, and the Community Conference Room, which provides a meeting place to local organizations.
Teller Wines is a specialty wine store in Lewes, Delaware. Teller Wines’ goal is to sort through the complexities of the wine industry and find delicious, high quality wines and offer them at a great price.
