Henry H. Troy Silliman III, Esq., to Chair Delaware Hospice Board of Trustees

Henry H. (Troy) Silliman III, Esq., was appointed as Chair of Delaware Hospice’s Board of Trustees on September 28, 2006.
Former Chair, John R. Ward, handed over leadership after two years of providing dedicated service to the nonprofit organization and will continue to serve on the Board and the Executive Committee.
Troy Silliman has served as an Attorney in the Legal Department of E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. since 1982, presently in the position of Corporate Counsel for Real Estate and Assistant Secretary.
He joined the Delaware Hospice Board of Trustees in 2001 and has served on the Executive Committee and the Construction Committee. He stated, “I have experienced firsthand with my own extended family how Delaware Hospice helps the families of terminally patients at the point of crisis.”
Delaware Hospice President and C.E.O., Susan Lloyd, MSN, RN, said, “It is a real pleasure to be working with Troy as our new Board Chair. Troy has been quite involved in our organization over the last several years and will provide the Board with a wealth of knowledge and experience in governance.”
Mr. Silliman has also served as a Board Member and past President of Generations Home Care; he serves on the University of Delaware Parents’ Committee and the Christ Church Christiana Hundred Memorial Garden Advisory Committee, and was a past Member of the Vestry.
Mr. Silliman attended Columbia University for his B.A. Degree and earned his J.D. from Emory University Law School. He was admitted to the Delaware Bar in 1982.
