Hospice Help Over the Holidays

The Center can help manage pain for seriously ill patients in hospice care and provide respite stays. Talk to Delaware Hospice about what your family needs throughout this holiday season.

Being a caregiver is harder than ever over the holidays

We know that Covid-19 restrictions make it hard to care for a seriously ill loved one. With social distancing, you may not be seeing your loved one as frequently or in person.

At the holidays, stress or depression can escalate issues. If you have concerns about your loved one, a short stay at the Delaware Hospice Center can help sort it out. The Center, located in Milford De provides:

  • Pain Management. If your loved one expresses or seems to be in pain, their medications may need adjustment to feel comfortable. The Center’s medical team will consult with your loved one’s doctor to provide comprehensive care.
  • Acute issues. Perhaps your loved one was doing fine at home and a holiday visit revealed that their condition has deteriorated. Your family may need a few days of safe support while you decide what to do.
  • Respite Care. Or you may be burned out from caring for a loved one while managing work and your home life during the pandemic. A 3-5 day stay at the Center can provide you some time to restore yourself during the holiday season.

Fill out the form above and the Delaware Hospice team will call to see how we can support your family. We’ll discuss the options as well as the Covid-19 safety and visitation protocol at the Center.
