The holidays are stressful for most people. There is too much to do in too little time and the reality of the holidays usually falls short of our nostalgic fantasies. But for those who are grieving, the holidays are even more difficult. The void left behind by the death of a loved one is felt more acutely. There is pressure to be social when this can be very challenging. The feelings associated with the season are generally contrary to the feelings of those who are grieving.
