Rediscovering Wonder: Cultivating Awe for Your Well-Being
June 4, 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Awe is that goose bumpy sensation and feeling of reverence or amazement we get in the presence of something vast, beautiful or sacred. This can come from a powerful piece of music, a sunrise over the ocean, a mind-expanding idea, or witnessing acts of courage or kindness. Awe-inspiring experiences can make you happier, less stressed, more creative, more connected to others, more generous and compassionate, increase your life satisfaction, boost your mood, and improves your health. Even the weariest and most jaded can experience awe with a little guidance. There really are ways to cultivate this experience. Come learn how to rediscover wonder and awe and bring it into your daily life.
Presented by Dr. Judy Pierson, Clinical Psychologist, our popular Lunch Bunch Lectures are organized by our Family Support Center and are open to everyone.
