Since 1982, our hospice care has been bringing comfort, peace and empowered choices to families living with advancing illness. We’re here to help you and your family find the answers, options, care and solutions we’ve helped so many others find. Our hospice care improves the quality of life while embracing our patients’ decisions on how to live with illness on their own terms. As experts in managing pain and symptoms, we help regain days where life can be lived more fully and joy can be recaptured. We also help navigate any emotional and spiritual challenges that may be experienced in the wake of coping with a life-limiting illness.
One of the best things about our care is that is it individualized – tailored to each person’s needs, goals and wishes. We’ll work together with your current doctor to create a plan of care focused on you and your family. Our hospice care is not just for the patient, we also support the family caregiver by providing hands-on practical support, community resources and relevant education.
Since hospice care is centered on what matters most, we help patients remain in the comfort of their home whenever possible. Our care is not focused on a place and is available wherever you and your loved ones wish, at home, in an assisted living or even a nursing home.
We’ll work with your family to coordinate all of the resources you need to best care for your loved one including medicines, equipment and supplies. We’ll also bring you peace of mind by knowing we’re only a phone call away 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No more long nights of waiting until the morning to call your healthcare provider. Services provided by Delaware Hospice are funded through Medicare and Medicaid, private insurance, community donations, and private gifts.
